2. Collection and storage of personal data and also the nature and purpose of its use

When you call up our websites www.iq-technologies.berlin, www.iq-wireless.com, www.iq-spacecom.com or www.iq-firewatch.com information will automatically be sent to our website server by the browser used on your end device. This information will be stored temporarily in a so-called log file. In this connection, the following information will be collected without any input by you and will be stored until it is automatically erased:

  • IP address of the accessing computer,
  • date and time of the access,
  • name and URL of the file retrieved,
  • website from which the access is made (referrer URL),
  • browser used and, where applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.

The above-mentioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • to ensure the trouble-free establishment of a connection to our website,
  • to ensure the easy use of our website,
  • evaluation of the system security and stability and also
  • for further administrative purposes. 

Your data will be stored for 4 weeks. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (for delivering web-content to your browser) and  Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (data-storage for analysis). Our legitimate interest derives from the purposes of data collection listed above. In no case do we use the data collected for the purpose of making any connection with your person.

In addition, when you visit our website, we use cookies and also analytical services. Further explanations are given in Sections 7 and 8 of this Privacy Policy.

3. Use of Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google's reCaptcha service to determine whether a person or computer is making a particular entry on our contact or newsletter form. Google uses the following information to determine whether you are a human or a computer: IP address of the end device used, the website you visit with us and on which the captcha is embedded, the date and duration of your visit, recognition data of the type of browser and operating system used, Google account if you are logged in at Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas as well as tasks in which you have to identify images. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. There is a legitimate interest on our part in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and to protect us from automated entries (attacks).

4. Newsletter

You have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. Therefore, you may provide us with your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.

In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided information such as first and last name. We indicate at the time of data collection which information is mandatory and which is optional.

As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your registration.

The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (your agreement) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (as existing customer).

You can withdraw your subscription to the newsletter at any time. This revocation does not affect the legality of the processing that took place on the basis of the consent given until the revocation.

5. Request forms or availability-notification-service

If you fill out a contact form on our website, we ask you to provide information such as your name, e-mail address and the company you work for in order to be able to answer your request. At the time of data collection, we indicate which information is mandatory and which is voluntary.

If you make use of the availability notification in our webshop for your desired items, the personal data you provide will only be stored until the respective availability notification and will be deleted from our system after delivery of the information by e-mail.

The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (to answer your request).

6. Forwarding of data

We do not transfer your data to unauthorized third parties. 

We pass on your personal data if:

  • you have issued your express consent hereto pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, GDPR,
  • the processing is necessary pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f, GDPR in order to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (liability and claims settlement, lawyers and debt collection service),
  • a legal obligation exists for the forwarding of the data pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit c, GDPR and also
  • this is legally admissible and necessary pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b, GDPR for the performance of contractual relationships with you (tax consultancy, mail/web & ICT providers as processors).

7. Cookies

    We use cookies on our website. These are small files automatically created by your browser which are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone and such like) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.

    • pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR to demand information about the personal data concerning you which is processed by us. In particular, you may demand information about the purposes of the processing, the category of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your personal data has been or will be disclosed, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing or objection to the same, the existence of a right of complaint, the source of your data where this has not been collected by us and also about the existence of any automated decision-making, including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about the details thereof;
    • pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR to demand the prompt rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you or to have incomplete personal data which is stored with us completed;
    • pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the erasure of personal data concerning you which is stored by us unless the processing is necessary for exercising a right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims;
    • pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data in so far as the accuracy of the personal data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose the erasure of your personal data and we no longer need the personal data but you require the same for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or in so far as you have lodged an objection to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;

    The access to our website is carried out via encrypted connections. You can recognise whether an individual page of our website can be transmitted in encrypted form if your browser displays a key or closed lock symbol in the status bar at the bottom of your browser. The service provider of our websites is certified according to ISO 27001.

    In addition, we apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties. Our security measures are continually improved in line with technological developments.
